Inter-Tabac – Dortmund

Every year the Westfalenhalle exhibition center, located just south of the city of Dortmund Germany, hosts Europe’s largest retail / distribution and wholsale tobacco show. And its growing! Particpants rent more booth space and visitors flock to see products new and old from the tobacco world. Almost every conceivable tobacco product is represented in a large exhibition center which fully occupies three large halls.

The majority of attendees are German as you would expect, but there are a considerable number of attendees from most neighboring countries – the EU and even further afield – like the USA, South Africa and Israel to name a few. Interestingly it is these attendees which are increasing.

If you exhibited or attended, please give some feedback on this truely international event.

Hi Chris,
I belong to a Spanish company which manufactures cigars and we exhibited there this year for the first time. It was a great opportunity for us because we’re starting to internationalize our products and we could find suppliers, distributors and importers from allover the world, not only from Germany or Europe, big multinationals as well as SME’s.

At least for us it was quite productive.

I paste one of the links with press information about the exhibition:

Cheers!

to help further in your international expansion perhaps you should consider the One and Only TABEXPO 2011 being held in Prague. See http://www.tabexpo.org

Thanks Dave for your advice! We’re trying to commercialize Caliqueño cigars (very typical from Valencia) and we still have a lot of work to do!!!! Exhibitons will help us a lot….

In any case, if you have curiosity to learn more about this type of cigars you can visit a blog on wordpress:

Cheers!!
