It also does not do the same harm however, as a former smoker I now prefer these, as do many other smokers. They do not suit everyone of course, and on the whole we have a very positive feedback from people who are delighted to have changed over.

Those who got used to smoke common cigarettes do not want to use electronic one because as they say e-cigarette does not have the effect of the common cigarette.

Hey I've got to tell you I'm simply amazed with the Ruyan Rapp. They market it as an alternative. It beats me but I can't figure it out but I haven't smoked in three days since I got this Rapp. It's freaky. How they do it with no nicotine or tobacco? Anyone know?

Hi Tyler, The e-cigs do not suit everyone - but if you had no nicotine hit or taste, you tried a poor quality model. Many people are taking to these as an alternative method of delivering nicotine in a more socially acceptable way.

I tried the e cigarette but they sucked. You don't even get a nicotine fix and it tastes nothing like a cigarette.

I remain confident that e-cigarettes will not only remain legal in the US (don't know about UK or other countries), but that sales will continue to skyrocket.

E-cigarettes are featured on cover of the May/June issue of Tobacco Outlet Business with the title:
High Times for E-Cigarettes
The electronic cigarette phenomenon is gaining ground on all industry levels: manufacturing, retailing and consuming (and the 5 page article begins on page 34) at:
http://www.tobaccooutletbusinessonli...ent-issue.html

If it carefully considers the law, the DC Court of Appeals should uphold District Court Judge Richard Leon's ruling in January at:
https://ecf.dcd.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/show_public_doc?2009cv0771-54

That would leave the FDA will little alternative other than to promulgate regulations for e-cigarettes as tobacco products (which I and others have been urging the agency to do for more than a year), a process that could take two years (with e-cigarettes facing no federal regulation during that time).

And while legislation has been proposed in 5 states to ban the sale of e-cigarettes (CA, UT, MD, IL, NY), a coalition of harm reduction advocates, e-cigarette consumers and suppliers have defeated the legislation in four of those states, and it appears that the legislation in NY is also going to be defeated.

But even if the sale of e-cigarettes is banned at either the federal or state level, I'm confident that a thriving black market would quickly replace the current markets and that most consumers could continue accessing the products.

That said, one of our strongest talking points to state legislators is that a ban would result in most e-cigarette consumers either going back to smoking cigarettes or buying from their newly created black market.
