The TMA conference in Williamsburg VA wound up today. It was a big success.
A constructive diaglogue has really begun and can only improve.
We welcome the opportunity to engage with the public health community in a constructive conference.
Well done TMA for putting together this successful forum.

This was my first year attending this conference and I was asked to participate in a forum on consolidation which was an eye opener to many in the audience. I must say that I wish I knew about this conference before this year as it really is a “must attend” for those who are seriously interested in the future of the tobacco industry. I often attend conferences and do not attend all the sessions but this was so interesting that I attended every session. I met those that are extremely knowledgeable in the industry. Highlights were also getting to know Adrian Payne from Tobacco Horizons Limited, Carl Philips/University of Alberta, Joseph Fuisz from Fuisz Tobacco, Bill Godshall from SmokeFree Pa and a lot more. Great location, great food and a fantastic conference. I encourage all to attend the next conference which I understand could possibly happening sooner than later! This is a great starting point to open up the discussion on “Harm Reduction”.
I was wondering why I never saw this conference promoted to the industry. Could a tobacco buyer from retail have attended?
